Board

Spring Valley Fire District is governed by a five member management board who are elected by the residents within the fire district.  While other governing bodies, like city councils, must divide their attention among many services, the fire district board scope is limited to fire and EMS. This allows the directors to “drill down” to a deeper understanding of critical life-saving services, and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and available options. The Fire Chief is hired by and reports to the board and carries out the missions and directives provided by the board.   The Spring Valley Fire District Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:00 PM at the Lincoln Store located at 5925 Wallace Road NW, Salem, Oregon 97304.
