Volunteering as a firefighter is a challenging and rewarding experience that will give you a chance to learn new skills, work with cutting-edge equipment,and positively impact the lives of those around you. Whether you're interested in firefighting as a career or simply want to give back to your community, there's no better way to get started than by volunteering your time and energy as a firefighter.
Minimum requirements for Volunteer Firefighters include completing a Fire District Application, passing the application process, attending about 100 hours of training and be in a physical condition to perform assigned Volunteer Firefighting tasks.
Volunteer Requirements
Volunteer Personnel shall be at least 18 years of age at time of entry, have a valid drivers license, be in good health, good physical condition and free of heart, lung or back disorders.
Volunteer Personnel should reside inside or in close geographical area of their District station and their employer allows you to respond to emergency calls during working hours;
Respond to emergency calls and participate in drill nights and other District events whenever possible.
